WHGC started in September 2007 with 2 free sessions with 75 keen gymnasts at Yarborough LC, after taking a chance the club moved to an Industrial unit (5000sq ft) on Cardinal Close in March 2009.

After many improvements and some good performances the club gained a good reputation and won some County and Regional competitions, and started holding courses for British Gymnastics.

In 2014 with 350 gymnasts and a large waiting list WHGC moved to Crofton Rd (10,000sq ft) over the next 3 years and with Funding from Sport England, Biffa and Engage Mutual the building has been transformed into a top class gymnastics facility, with a pitted gym and all WA, MA equipment. The reception and public area's also have been improved greatly with cafe, waiting area and a full competition tiered seating.

The club has trained many of its own coaches and holds several coaching courses each year, at present we have over 800 gymnasts coming each week. See photo's to see the clubs transformation over the years.
